Nice, comfortable room with all the amenities you'd expect including a safe in the room. Our room had a balcony overlooking the water. Staff memeber on checkin was very helpful with public transport onfo into San Fransisco. Breakfast was a full continental including toast. Very comfortable, friendly atmosphere.
Because of it's wooden construction a little creaky, but nothing to worry about.
Beautiful harbor views and pretty seasise walk nearby.
They tried to give me a room with no view, after I had reserved and paid extra for a waterfront room. I had to go to the front desk and complain about the room not being as specified. They did move me to an appropriate room, but the woman at the front desk was not gracious about it and they would have left me in the cheaper room if I had not refused it.
First of all, the value and quality for my money was definatley unbeatable. I cancelled a reservation for a one night stay at a high priced, name brand hotel and got two nights at the Marina Village Inn for the very same amount. The room was clean, the pool was warm, the continental breakfast was fresh and on time, the location was ideal, parking was always available, and the proximity to all of our destinations was 10 minutes or less. My husband's 51st birthday get-a-way excursion was simply ideal. I would say of Marina Village Inn that it is a lovely little hideaway on the grande isle of Alameda. Do come folks, do come. Honestly, there was nothing that I didn't like. Really!
staff was very polite, friendly, and helpful especially at front desk. the views of the marina and Oakland were great and the path to the little shopping center is very accessible and great for exercising.
Good Quiet place but don't have good restaurant near hotel
Breakfast to poor, room for Breakfast not comfortable
We were on a 2 day city break to San Francisco and were shocked at the prices of hotels in the city - then found this place. Just 20 minutes drive from downtown SF and a third of the price of the cheapest SF hotel. Plus nice setting on the bay, clean rooms and friendly staff.
My husband and I enjoyed everything about the hotel. From the great views to the comfy beds. It was very pleasant.
Thin walls. It wasnt very bad though, you could only hear the neighbors when they were talking pretty loud.
Hotel location was great. The rooms were very confortable. First night we stayed in a non-marine view room, second night we have been transferred to a marine view one. It was excellent. Very good for value. Just 10 - 15 minutes drive distance to San Franscisco.
My room which was standard was upgraded to a better room, which was very nice. I loved the scenery since it was by the water front.
The fridge did not work so well, it was slightly cold, we called the desk but they had no extra fridge but they suggested we could use the one in the lobby.
clean, good sercive, and nice breakfast
The staff was very friendly and helpful.....I Do not know The guys name when I check-in but he was very helpful and very accommodating.....I Would recommend the hotel for future stay.....Thank you....Marina Village Inn for the pleasure of stay in your hotel...!!!!!
Location and price and free wireless internet though very, very slow
Could use some updating; very basic but reasonably priced
Cozy and charming with all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Staff were courteous and the city beautiful.
Wish the breakfast had more options and offered earlier.
By the staff, quality for the money, seaside locations. I always wish hotel had some protein in the breakfast ,such as hard boiled eggs .
Located close to a nice harbour, nice neighbourhood, clean rooms
